Hi and welcome to the first update of 08,
thanks to all who where there during 07,
it has made all the difference to a year
of wearing the eargoggles.2007 was always
dedicated to getting back into the studio,
(and clearing some of the backlog)
and it has been time well spent thanks to
the help of some great people.Ta muchly.

New Years resolution # 27:
Update the pages more often.

For those new here,a brief history is below,
thanks for taking the time to check things out.

As for 2008, hoping to get out there live soon, still
have a few tracks in the wings, but will get the new
stuff out there so we can get on the promo train.

Cllaw is an independent songwriter from Sydney Australia.
After many years of playing keys/guit in original and
cover bands,inc supports/tours with major acts in
Sydney and interstate,
Cllaw has spent the last few years concentrating on writing,
recording and producing a portfolio of material, some already
released and available, others near completion.
Now concentrating on adjusting to daylight, getting out there live,
vids,and everything else on the fridge.

New years resolution # 34
Get bigger fridge.

THE ALBUM:
The new album 'RAISE' is a mix of piano and guitar based tracks,
in general a mix of rock and ballads, but the intention was always
to pick tracks that differed lyrically,structurally and emotivally.
A chance to play with the canvass,the light and shade,the colours,
and see what pictures eventuated and felt good together.
(And to be cliched if we want....)
This 10 song selection is taken from sessions 2005-06-07,
4 songs/lyrics are available for preview thru myspace page.
It is also a testing ground for the recordings and band to come.

INFLUENCES: A short note....in first person no less..

Everything is an influence, and nothing is.
Most of the sites ask you to note people/bands of influence,
but, in truth, you dont know someone till you see their CD collection.
And there will be something pushed to the back.
I like that music.
The music i dont like would be a short list.
Well, sort of short. 5 letters mostly.Written 20 times.

Raised in a musical household blaring to the sounds of Gershwin,
Mantovani, Nat King Cole, The Beatles.
Accompanied by my father and his sweet old Beale upright.
Everything is an influence, and nothing is.
