Club Membership

Total Canine Sporting Club members take our training sessions and membership responsibilities seriously. The club's purpose is to be an all-breed dog sports club, training handler-dog teams to achieve their goals, attain IPO titles, and compete in local, National, and International events, all while working together in a fun, friendly, and family-oriented environment.

We have a simple membership process and by following it, we have been consistently able to meet our club’s goal.

Membership Process:

  1. Attend up to five club training sessions prior to submitting a membership application. The purpose of these five sessions is for the prospective applicant to evaluate “club life,” and for the club to evaluate the prospective member.

  2. Fill out the membership application (TCSC Membership Application) and pay the non-refundable yearly Membership Fee of $300-00 and the monthly Training Fee of $40-00. Submit your application together with Training and Membership Fee to any TCSC board member at a club training session to start your probationary membership. Probationary members do not have voting privileges and may have their dog trained in protection after all full-status members dogs have been trained. The probationary period lasts at least three months from the date of your application.

  3. Regularly attend club training sessions.

  4. If the dog-handler team is deemed by vote of the TCSC board to be suitable for full-status membership, you will be granted the privileges of a full member.

  5. To be a member of the TCSC, you must be a member of the Australian United Sportdog Clubs (AUSC). If you already are member of AUSC, please provide your AUSC membership number on your TCSC membership application. If you are not, you will need to submit an application for membership to AUSC through our secretary and you will remain a probationary TCSC member until you attain membership in AUSC.
