set of 132 player cards and 12 checklists is 48 cards bigger than any Scanlens set before it and the first to include
checklists to help with completing the series. The cards depict good action
shots - quite obviously taken at training - in a white border with a 'ribbon'
design in club colours down the left hand side. The
reverse of each player card lists individual statistics while the checklist
cards have club details on the back. Double stickers showing different club
emblems are also included. Gary Dempsey and Alan Noonan both appear twice in
this set. They were available in packets with a stick of bubble gum from milk

|
Based
on the design of the 1974 series with a football in team colours
replacing the 'ribbon' design in the bottom left corner of the card. The set
comprises 132 cards and 12 checklists. Various action and profile shots again
appear to be taken on training nights. The reverse of each card features a
'Magic Football Quiz' where answers to the posed questions are revealed by
rubbing a coin over the card, in many cases damaging the image on the other
side. They were available in packets with a stick of bubble gum from milk
bars, newsagents and similar outlets. |
