Two of these cards are football related with one showing Doug Nicholls of Northcote and Fitzroy, and another showing a depiction of Marn Grook, said to be a contributing factor to the style of Australian Football.

Cards are slightly small that the standard modern trade cards and show close up action images of leading AFL players. Four gold cards were issued as part of the standard set and each packet came with a checklist card showing a different player image.

The format differs only slightly from the previous year with the main difference being the straight orientation of the team name rather than angled.
