About Libby Hart

Libby Hart’s first collection of poetry, Fresh News from the Arctic (Interactive Press, Brisbane, 2006), received the Anne Elder Award and was shortlisted for the Mary Gilmore Prize. She is the recipient of a new work writer’s grant and an international skills and arts development studio residency (Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, Ireland) from the Australia Council for the Arts, as well as a DJ O’Hearn Memorial Fellowship at The Australian Centre at the University of Melbourne. She has won several prizes and awards, including the Somerset National Poetry Prize. Her work has been published widely and broadcast on ABC Radio National.
