AMCC meetings are held on the third Monday of each month. Venue is the “Copland Room” inside the Ashburton Library, High Street, Ashburton, Victoria (Melway map 60 C9). Meetings commence at 7.45 pm and usually finish around 10 pm.

Each month features a preset theme that each member tries to match with his display models. If the theme can’t be matched then anything else of interest will do.

Meetings calendar 2008:

The AMCC has two in-house competitions for members.

Our annual “Model of the Year” (MOTY) which is held in November. It is for plastic and/or metal kits or scratch-built models of cars only. All paid-up members are eligible to enter. The AMCC has a perpetual trophy on which is recorded each year’s MOTY winner. A smaller trophy is awarded to the winner as a memento.

2007 MOTY winner is Paul McLennan.

Our “Monthly Display Competition” (MDC) in which each member is judged by the display they present to match the given theme. Points are allocated and finalised at the end of the November meeting. The winner is announced at the December meeting. Winner’s names are recorded on the perpetual “Mac Mackay” trophy and a smaller trophy is awarded as a memento.
