About Me
Hello I'm Alexander Gent, this website has been designed
by me to give an insight into my goals and
aspirations.
Firstly, I have lived in Australia almost all my life. I
was born in the United Kingdom on 29th July 1967 and
travelled to Australia 2 years later with my parents.
When I was 18 years old I became a Naturalised Australian
Citizen.
I have lived in St. Marys, NSW since 1990. I was married
in May 1998 and my wife & I are living in a beautiful
home.
Since 1985 being employed by various businesses and
companies, I have always set myself high standards. This
encompasses everything from work ethic, occupational
health & safety, and interpersonal relationships. I
also have over 27 years of clerical and administration
experience. I am quite experienced in the use of
electronic office equipment, from calculators to personal
computers. I have advanced skills in word processing and
spreadsheets on personal computers. I have a current
typing speed of 60wpm.
My main aspiration is to work in the Information
Technology industry. I have been working with personal
computers since I was 10 years old. I started off
programming and writing games. As the years progressed
and computers were advancing, I learnt a lot more about
the internal hardware structure of most computers. In
recent years through various employment, friends and
relatives I have assisted and also repaired personal
computers. I also build new computers for friends, family
and customers.
As at Monday 17th December 2012, I completed and passed all subjects in
ICA30111 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (Web Technologies)
and
ICA40111 Certificate IV in Information Technology at TAFE Western Sydney Institute, Kingswood.
As at Monday 4th February 2013, I am continuing my studies at TAFE Kingswood and studying
ICA50311 Diploma in Information Technology.
I am hoping by the year 2013 my job prospects will be a lot
brighter when I receive my educational qualifications.
