Faith

Faith, a young woman struggling with addiction and prostitution, has lost her daughter, India to the state foster care system. Olivia, a hardened police detective meets Faith after she is raped. Olivia’s life becomes enmeshed in Faith’s as she supports her campaign to regain custody of her child. Neither women acknowledging that there are no fairy tale endings when the best place for a child isn’t always with her mother.
Faith, edited by award winning poet Ross Clark, will be launched at the 2007 Queensland Poetry Festival – Judith Wright Centre Brunswick Street New Farm on the 10th September 2007. The book will be launched via a stage performance directed by Brisbane
