It is what it is - a creative space where many of Brisbane's finest poets/rappers/writers experiment with words backed by local band Shooting People. The gig is held on the first Sunday of the month and runs from March to November each year. Each month there is a feature poet and open mic. The gig runs from 2pm to 5:30pm.

Thur 7th September - This Years Poetry Festival Sun 9th September 2.30pm- See Alicia in "Dazed in the Ladies lounge" showing at the Performance Space, Judith Wright Centre of Conetmporary Art.. 12 - 16 Sept -Brisbane Writers Festival - Alicia will perform in two events. More details and a program guide can be found at the Brisbane Writers Festival website Thur 13th Sept - Southbank. Alicia has been invited to perform with other poets, including Les Murray, in a forum called "Chapter and Verse" as part of Word Play 2007.. Sat 15 Sept - from 9.30pm at The Turbine Bar - Brisbane Powerhouse with Jill Jones, Nathan Sheperdson, Graham Nunn, David "Ghost Boy" and Suzanne Jones. Sat 12th May - The Pavillion (The Emerald Room) West End. Alicia has been invited by Kristy Apps to perform at this years Venus Rising 2007 For Women - Venus Rising is an annual event that showcases Women's music and performance. Music, visual art, spoken word and performance art... sponsored by UQ Union, Womens Collective. The line up this year includes the awesome Kristy Apps, Rebecca Wright and Peachfish. Saturday 12th May @ The Pavillion (The Emerald Room) West End. $5/$8.	2007: Alicia has been invited by Graham Nunn (poet and director of the Queensland Poetry Festival) and David Ghostboy Stavanger (author of Station to Station) to host La Mina de Velluto The Velvet Landmine. This monthly event will kick off again in 2007 at Caro Mio (598 Stanley St. Woolloongabba). Keep an eye out for upcoming dates... Wed 29 Nov -A & R Post Office Square – Brisbane CBD 12-2.30pm.
