2005 will be Chris's fourth year of a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he studies early keyboard playing with Dr. Neal Peres da Costa. In recent years Chris has participated in masterclasses with the fortepianist David Ward and renowned lutenist Eduardo Eguez. Chris is also a composer, and has had several pieces performed or recorded. His teachers were Damien Ricketson and Simone East. In 1999, he won a composing competition run internationally by Musica Viva, and his piece was recorded by the English period instrument ensemble Florilegium. Chris has performed with such celebrated groups as Salut! Baroque, the St. Laurence Baroque Orchestra, and the New Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of Cologne. Current projects for Chris include the Sydneian Bach Choir's performance of the entire choral cantata repertory of J.S. Bach, and touring as a member of the Musica Viva in Schools programme. He is also a part of the music ministry at St. Barnabas Church on Broadway.
