Medical comment:Arthritis result from many factors; inflammatory,
degenerative, traumatic and mechanical. Diet has not been part of traditional medical
thinking but there is a consistency in what patients find when they change their diets.
Dietary change has no side effects and is easily reversed. - Brett

There is nothing in
Pain-Free Living that can
harm but there is much that makes very good sense. I would confidently recommend the book
to arthritics. -

The strength you gained from overcoming (arthritis) symptoms really shows and one felt

Reviews: 'Pain-Free
Living is aimed at helping millions of arthritis sufferers conquer pain through
diet.
Scientists now know that populations who derive much of their protein from a diet rich in
soy, fish and seafood (as with the Pain-Free Living diet) have significantly lower rates
of inflammatory disease...osteoporosis, heart disease, menopausal symptoms, high
cholesterol and a variety of cancers.' - THE NORTHERN STAR.
'I've been on the (Pain-Free
Living) diet for two months and I'm feeling much better' - caller on RADIO 2GB
'The title of her
books tells it all ... the recipes show that food can still be a gastronomic delight ..
colourful, tasty, nutritious and above all pain-free' - CANBERRA TIMES

Bronwyn's story:
'Aged 29 I limped around the house in pain. Last
February I cycled up Mount Hotham, Falls Creek and Buffalo.'
'Dear
Anne…I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (a form of arthritis) as
a 29year old after suffering serve pain from the age of 17. I went to
many Doctors, Naturopaths, Physiotherapist and Chiros. I tried many
pills, herbs and other diets none of which helped. I was on
chemotherapy (methatrexate) and anti inflammatories and needed to have blood
tests fortnightly to check for liver damage.
I
was given a copy of your book Pain Free Living , not really
believing that it would help as I had tried every other diet, I was
surprised how it worked so quickly.
Within 3 days I was not out of pain but I wasn't reaching for the drugs
every 4 hours, it was a bearable pain. Within 2 weeks I felt
better than I had for many years. It took 2 months to be completely
PAIN FREE and off all medication.
I went back to the specialist who told me he
had seen your book before and threw it on the ground! He wanted me to
make an appointment in 6 months as ‘I would be back there and needing
those drugs’...that was 6 years ago.
As
a Remedial Masseur I have told many of my clients about your diet and those
who stick to it have had the same success that I have. Other
people that had inflammation problems such as whip-lash, hip and knee
problems have been helped as well. It
really is an anti inflammation diet.
Before
this I wasn't able to walk around the block without limping in pain.
Last February I cycled up Mount Hotham, Falls Creek and Buffalo. People
ask: 'How I can live without meat and fruit?' I only have to have a piece to
remember why I don't eat it any more.
So
Anne thank you once again.'

your (Pain-Free Living) diet for 3 months. In that time I have been able to take
myself off (anti-inflammatory medication). Having been virtually pain-free since ceasing
the drug treatment, I am very pleased with the results up to this point.' - Mrs B, South Australia
'Dear Anne... I am writing to thank you for the great
encouragement your book Pain-Free Living has been to my wife and I. My wife has
suffered from osteoarthritis for many years...and came almost to the point of being in a
wheel chair...after nearly a month taking your advice... there has clearly been a marked
change and reduction in pain. She has lost 5 kilos and looks remarkably well.'
- Mr P, Western Australia.
