Costume designer Bill Whitten endeavoured to present Neil as a 'Renaissance Prince'. Describing the embroidered tapestry shirts, buckskins and Indian - styles necklaces he designed for the show as "elegant funk" he feels that Neil's clothes have to be romantic - "He is a lover who projects that live in his songs. He's earthy not flashy"

Neil liked the costumes very much - " My designer was experimenting with things, just like I was experimenting with music"
