The Production
Set Designer Jim Newton's sketch
of his design for the Greek theatre

Jim Newton created a series of ten mirrored panels simulating two huge hands. The moveable "hands"
would be pointed downward over the stage as Neil made his entrance, and would lift up as he began singing "Crunchy Granola Suite", the hands would point down to signal the show's end.
Scenery also incorporated ideas from producer, Joe Gannon of a mirrored panel design in the shape of a sunburst for "Morningside" and a wood slat abstract design for "Brother Love". The design also included a permanent set for the back of the stage that simulated scaffolding, and the positioning of some of the thirty five piece string section on several tiers as human scenery
