Albert George THOMAS, a quiet, intelligent man, with a passion for music and records, was born in Birmingham UK in 1918. He met his wife, Faustina (Tina) FOGHETTI, while serving with the occupational force in post World War 2 Italy. It is said that Albert learnt to speak and write Italian so well that he actually knew the language better than a native born Italian. After their marriage Albert and Tina lived for some years with Tina's parents in Italy and saw the birth of their first twins, Alfredo and Roberto and the tradgedy of a lost son, Albert. When the twins were about 4 years old the family moved to Albert's home town of Birmingham UK to live. Soon after the second set of their twins were born, one of whom sadly did not survive.
