Join CANDELA DANCE on the Main Stage at 2:45pm as they represent Salsa from CUBA and perform their uplifting Salsa/Rueda routine that was performed to RAVE reviews at the recent 1st International Melbourne Latin Festival!!! Followed by a free Salsa Class and dancing to a live Latin band!

Immerse your senses in Spain and Latin America’s passion for food, dance, music and decorative arts as the Queen Victoria Market hosts the 5th Annual ‘La Plaza de Mercado’ festival on Sunday, 19th April.

Showcasing Melbourne’s contemporary Latin American and Spanish music, this year’s programme will feature new interpretations of the traditional rhythms of salsa, merengue, samba, and bossa nova. The line-up will also include fiery performances by leading tango, flamenco and samba dancers. Taste authentic flavours at a wide variety of speciality market stalls preparing typical dishes from the twenty-two different Spanish speaking countries and browse the treasures of the traditional arts and crafts. We invite all Melburnians to come and enjoy the day. Sample sizzling paella, dance a sumptuous samba or relax with a refreshing cerveza in our courtyard bar. Don’t miss the transformation of the Queen Victorian market into a vibrant and colourful community celebration!
