Yes were in Melbourne 19th, Sydney20th and Perth 23rd September 2003 (respectively) for the Oz/NZ leg of the Full Circle Tour. In celebration we held a couple of special parties in Melbourne and Sydney, at the venues. and we were most fortunate to have the Band join us. See our reviews page. Australia's Own Sebastian Hardie were the support act for both Melbourne and Sydney gigs and  joined us at our parties as well.  YesFANZ also helped organize the Roger Dean Art Exhibit in Australia. Roger came to Australia and also joined us at our functions, and graciously allowed us to displays some his works.

YesFANZ is still very active, see News/Calendar , and have new plans for the future including, encouraging the next YES tour to Australia, a Prog Rock festival, YesFANZ party "reunions" , Rogers Deans Art exhibit, Centre point for Ozzie YES chat, music and paraphernalia swap, and get togethers, and anything else we can think of.

We are also constantly building relationship with other organizations' websites of very similar interests and or collaborations. Our latest inclusion is "Imagewide". Ron at Imagewide was permitted to Photograph the Sydney concert and the Gig Gallery, as well as some casual images and now has made available is superb collection to visitors of our site at very reasonable commercial rates..

This has been our page explaining what we have been about. It is retrained for the short term for those who attended the concerts but otherwise would like to know what we were doing. It will be updated soon. The Roger Dean Sydney Exhibit described below was extended till November 16, and Roger has signalled his intension to include the Gig Gallery as one of his bases for his works in the long term.

YES have just completed their Full Circle 2003 tour of Europe with Rick Wakeman and will commence their Asia/Pacific tour in early September in Japan before coming to Australia. Michael Chugg Entertainment has announced the Yes Concert Tour of Melbourne 19th Sept and Sydney 20th September, Full Circle Tour. Andrew McManus & Mellen Events have announced Perth is also added for Tues 23rd September. Visit our tickets page for more details. The last time they were here (Australia), they blew us away with the material that has now become one of the best live albums of all time - YESSONGS. Some of us know them as the "Owner of a lonely heart" band, whilst others remember "I've seen all good people". "Close to the Edge" was a sensation when released in 1972 and is still often voted as the best progressive rock composition of all time.

YES  are the most prolific and enduring Progressive Rock or Art Rock band whose themes of love and peace are a much needed inspiration and whose individual virtuoso talents are legendary. Their rock stage presence and powerful performances leaves all that see them in awe. The latest Album "Magnification" (available on import and now released locally by Warner Music through HMV, Redeye, online etc) is a benchmark in rock music. It features the San Diego Symphony Orchestra performing throughout, with orchestral arrangements written and conducted by Larry Groupe. This is excellently integrated into the YES line-up of Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe and Alan White. In true Yes fashion a powerful, polished, and beautiful rock music statement. Yes with Orchestra! The resulting YesSymphonic tour has been brilliantly captured on the recent DVD release recorded live in Amsterdam.

Oz and NZ Fans of YES are passionate about the music but unfortunately starved of live performance. The enthusiasm of  fans in Australia and New Zealand has been the deciding factor that ensured this tour came to fruition. We needed your help, and it was there. We needed to let those that make this tour decision know that there is massive support for the band and a successful tour. We did this, and we are confident this contributed to the tour decision.

A major part of that effort involved the preparation of a brochure that we produced and Bob F personally submitted to The band, via The Bands Management and Chris Squire himself. Bob flew to LA for the presentation, 23 August 2002. The theme of the Brochure was basically "please come and play in Australia and NZ" and was a colour magazine bound and sealed. The feature part was the compilation of submissions from YesFANZ from over Australia and New Zealand. Graphically the presentation was very professional thanks to the efforts of Justin Heffernan Brian Draper did a fantastic effort of the editing job, as well as many other significant member contributions. There were eight copies made. Seven were presented and we have retained one. A copy of the Brochure is available as PDF to download from this site <here> Check out our news page for more info.

Now that this dream has been fulfilled, we wish to make the most of it with a mini festival. An event to "meet and greet" other fans, exchange thoughts, souvenirs etc, and celebrate with each other.  We will meet in special function rooms within the concert venues. We have negotiated the bands intention to appear at the Sydney party, and the Melbourne party is looking likely as well. A big deciding factor about the YES's availability will be the soundcheck requirements. In true YES spirit we are very hopeful.

This poster represents the promotional announcement for the September YesFANZ party/festival as well as serving as a promotional assistance for the YES tour itself. Unfortunately have not been able to organise a party for Perth as we were unable to prepare in time.

Included at the festival party is the display of Roger Dean art, especially Yes related, and Roger himself has advised his intension to join us. This has been organised through San Francisco Art Exchange, with whom Roger has a significant relationship. SFAE is also contributing special items for door prizes and souvenir bags to the YesFANZ festival.

A very exciting development associated with the Yes tour is the,
