A kind word spoken to a tired taxi man
May alter his attitude from his previous plan.
A few words of encouragement to hard-working labourers
Can shed discouragement in a shower of favours.
So if each says a few words, no effort to share -
And they are passed on to others who lovingly care,
Then the spreading of light in this world can extend
As it snowballs, it will rebound, friend to friend.
So little to give, but so great the results,
As each mite of encouragement another one halts
And pauses to give reflection to what has been said
Then they pass on words showing others they cared.
Did you for a moment, believe that one word
Could change things around in this busy, rushing world?
Well...if you could see the results of your caring
You would see that the world is a-changing and flowering.
And as each little gift that you give in a moment
Falls on the ears of others a-moaning,
You lift up their hearts, encouragement given
And they share it around, to the world that we live in.
The world is a-changing as I mentioned before
And we can bring much to lighten its shores.
A smile given lovingly can open a heart,
So little, yet much, as we all do our part.
