I can't go back to days of old
To the things I might have done.
I may have caused atrocities
Or even ruled a kingdom.
I can't go into a life not lived
And do the things I'll do
I can't perform my daily tasks
With things that can't come true.
I can only live my daily life
In each moment that I see
I can only be just who I am
For this is what is 'me'.
I may be more, I may be less
But who is there to judge.
For at the end of all our days
Our only judge is us.
We live this life
We draw on its source
We experience all we can.
Yet when it all comes down to fact.
There is only NOW to be found.
