28672. Rychard BROKER

Will dated 27 April 1567.

Will of Rycharde Broker of Brenchley Kent.

To be buried in the churchyard of Brenchley.

To the poor man's box of Brenchley, 4d. I eill that there be bestowed at my burial among the pood the bread of two bushels of wheat.

To my whife Margery all such household stuff as I had with her. To the said Margery two kine, colour black pied, one acre of wheat and two acres of oats lying in Horsmonden.

To my daughter Margaret a cow and a calf, colour brown, 6 pairs of sheets, the biggest cauldron in my house, two platters, two pewter dishes and one little brass pot.

To my son Symon Broker one cow and a calf, colour black, one twelmonthing bullock, two sheep and two lambs.

To my sons, the said Symon Broker, and John Broker, one bed of flocks, one bolster, one covering, one blanket, one whettle, and two pairs of sheets, equally divided.

To the said John one heifer with a calf, colour black launded, one twelmonthing bullock, two sheep and two lambs.

To my son Myhell two twoyearing heifers, two sheep and two lambs.

To my wife's sons John Roberts and Rycharde Roberts one heifer and a calf, colour brown to be equally divided.

To the said Myhell one twelmonthing bull.

To my son Laurence two oxen, two sheet, two lambs and one twyringe colt.

To my said sons Symon and John one twoyearing steer, equally divided.

To my said sons Laurence, Myhell, Symon and John tow acres of wheat, four acres of oats and two acres of peas lying in Brenchley and Yaldling, equally divided.

To the maid Margaret one cupboard.

To the said Myhell one kettle of brass and one dish of pewter.

To the said Symon one kettle of brass, one platter of pewter, andthe biggest chest.

To my said son John a kettle of brass, one dish of pewter and the lesser chest.

To my said sons Myhell, Symon and John as much russet as will make each of them a jerkin and a pair of slops.

To my said wife Margery as much russet as will make her a petticoat.

To my said wife Margery on hog, colour sanded.

The residue of my goods, movables and unmovables, to my said son Laurence Broker, whom I make my whole executor...... and my brother George Broker to by my overseer of the same, and the said George to havae over and above his costs and charges 3/-.

My said executor whall keep at his own costs and charges all the said cattle before given to my said children Myhell, Symon, John and Margaret from the time of my departure of this life to the day of St. John the Baptist mext ensuing the date hereof.
