in Hong Kong, all passengers travelling on CX flights will be screened
and interviewed during check-in as well as being screened during
boarding.
Masks are provided onboard to all passengers on
all flights.
High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters
are installed on all CX aircraft which removes virtually all
contaminants in the air such as bacteria and large viral particles.
Cabin air volume is exchanged entirely every 3 minutes. The low humidity
in the cabin is inhospitable to germs.
All CX aircraft are cleaned with an effective
disinfectant approved by CX's Engineering Department. All interior
surfaces are cleaned when an aircraft makes transit stop and/or layover.
All procedures are in full compliance with guidelines laid out by World
Health Organisation and Hong Kong Department of Health. All CX aircraft
are cleaned more thoroughly on a weekly basis and also undergo a "Super
Clean" on a regular basis. All CX flights leave with fresh headrest
covers, pillowcases, blankets and headsets and are laundered at high
