Bangkok is 1 hour behind Hong Kong. We joined a 10 days tour to Egypt and since there's no direct flights between Hong Kong and Cairo, we had to make a few connections. Different tour operators chose different carriers to Cairo, the one we joined uses Emirates to Cairo stopping at Bangkok and Dubai. Since there's a 9 transit time in Dubai, the tour ran a half day city tour in Dubai. Other carriers which tour operators uses include Gulf Air or Dragonair + Egypt Air. Anyway, since we joined the tour, we had to arrive a little earlier than usual at the airport, but not too bad this time, since there were only around 12 people in the tour (we occupied 8 of those 12 places). After finding our tour leader (who arrived later than us), we got our tickets to check-in ourselves. Check-in was swift since there were very little people (and turned out the flight wasn't full on the HKG/BKK sector). I got a window seat which was great =D. After filling out the health declaration form, we went through immigration and security then waited at the gate after browsing through a few shops. I boarded shortly after the boarding call so that I could take a few photos.

Descend
started shortly after the meal trays were collected and we landed at
Bangkok a few minutes ahead of scheduled arrival time. All passengers
bound for Dubai were told to sit in their seat and no electronic
equipments could be used and they also said no flash photography too ><...
Anyway, waited a while and saw a change of crews and the loading of new
meals. Some cleaning staff also came onboard to make sure the empty seats
looked clean. During the transit time, the crews made an announcement on
the PA warning if anyone was caught smoking, they would be offloaded and
handed over to the police. This seems that there were people suspected of
smoking =_=. Passengers from Bangkok to Dubai boarded shortly which filled
the cabin up. A total of 273 passengers were onboard on the Bangkok/Dubai
sector.

However, there was no meal service after take-off this time, but about 1.5 hours prior to landing.

lucky to get be parked at a remote bay (giving the opportunity for

Overall,
the crews were only average in service standard. The seat was really
uncomfortable as the back section was really hard. Not good at all,
especially for long flights ><. Meals were not bad. Landing was also not
good. On both flights, the landing were really hard... felt like the
aircraft didn't have any suspension... but I guess it's a problem with the
aircraft since the tech crew was also changed in Bangkok. Not a terribly
good experience for flying the airline for the first time (and also
knowing 2 more sectors on the A332).
