Check-in at Hongqiao was a little chaotic due to the large number of passengers for many different flights which I think was rather stressful for the check-in agents. When it was my turn, I requested a window seat, but the check-in agent said there was non available, so he gave me 20E. Then went through security checks etc after buying the airport construction fee and got to gate 12 finding the boarding will commence soon. Boarding was called and everyone just rushed through the gate... This resulted in congestion in the aircraft aisle... maybe they should consider boarding my rows/zones. After everything has settled down and the door has been closed, I looked around and found the back section of the 763 to be pretty empty and plenty of window seats empty =) I wonder what was the check-in agent up to I asked the cabin crew whether I can change seats and she said yes. So I went to 30G which was an exit window. The flight was pretty normal, towel service after take-off, then pre-meal drink and lunch. After lunch, a keyring was given out as a gift, quite a nice touch. Then landing.

Had to wait at the airport for over an hour before the check-in counter was opened. Check-in counters only open 90mins before the flight's departure. So I wandered around the airport only finding a few stores and there aren't any good places to catch site of the aircraft due to the design of the airport. Anyhow, found a place to sit down and went back to the check-in counter 90mins before departure to get my boarding pass. This time, I managed to get a window seat. Boarding this flight was by far worse than the previous flight. Since we had to take the bus to the remote stand, there weren't any opportunities to board the plane sooner than to rush off the bus. Since I don't fly many Chinese domestic flights, I wasn't aware about the need to rush to board. Also knowing row 22 is at the back, I thought it can't be too bad. So I ended up being like second last to board through the back door. The nightmare of boarding now began. The plane was full of people in the aisle putting numerous pieces of bags into the overhead lockers (there were only about 4 empty seat on this flight) so when I boarded, there were no locker spaces left at all. So I let the cabin crew know and gave my bag to them. Then I found that my seat was taken by someone >< . So I let the crew know again and he asked the passenger to move back to his own seat then I squeezed myself over 2 passengers into my window seat. Flight departed late due to late arrival, thus delayed boarding. Not sure did the unordered boarding contributed to the late departure. Anyhow, it was only a 40minutes flight and we were served a can of drink. And next to none opportunities to take photos due to the loading and my late boarding. So only one photo before I boarded.
