A draft letter which your government could send to the United Nations to end the colonization and genocide of West Papua.
To the United Nations General Assembly,

We ask if the United Nations will now resume its decolonization obligation in relation to West New Guinea by facilitating an act of self determination in compliance with UN GA Resolutions 1514 and 1541, and the "New York Agreement" of August 1962 as noted in UN GA Resolution 1752?

We understand that the Republic of Indonesia being a member of the United Nations did with good will support UN GA Resolutions 1514 and 1541 in November 1960. We understand that the Republic of Indonesia in August 1962 signed an agreement acknowledging West New Guinea's status as a colony and committing the Republic of Indonesia to take over all colonial administration responsibilities from the Kingdom of the Netherlands even though the transfer of that administration was done without the Netherlands seeking consent of the people of West New Guinea to transfer their administration. We understand that the Republic of Indonesia with good will did in writing pledge its intent for West New Guinea to have an act of self-determination for which "eligibility of all adults, male and female, not foreign nationals to participate in the act of self-determination to be carried out in accordance with international practice" was assured. Further, the United Nations did also pledge to provide sufficient support to aid Indonesia to successfully fulfil its wish for West New Guinea to have an act of self-determination consistent with its United Nations obligations under UN GA Resolutions 1514, 1541, and the New York Agreement.

It is with regret that we understand the United Nations has yet to successfully aid Indonesia to conduct an act of self-determination; and that the United Nations GA Resolution 2504 did not claim an act of self-determination took place, and did not claim the 'Act of Free Choice' had complied with either UN GA Resolution 1541 or the terms of the New York Agreement.
