Spotlight
For us men with wives we will know the pain and anguish from being dragged along for the shopping trip.  My wife is a self confessed shopaholic and I know the feeling well.  Spotlight is a fantastic place for costuming.  The Arts & Crafts section is full of odds and ends.  Of course, it's a good source for all your material.

The Reject Shop/Clints Crazy Bargains/The $2 Shop
I love going into the $2 Shop and asking the checkout girl, "How much is this?".
These stores are an absolute treasure trove for the costuming fan.  Why?   Because it's full of useless crap that can be used for anything but what it was made for.  It's cheap, so you can afford to experiment with it.  There is a downside.  These stores buy stuff from companies that are going out of business.   So once they run out of stock, might be hard to get it again.

Dick Smiths Electronics
For all those coaxial cable connectors, wiring and LED lights.  This is were I picked up the Vader Voice kit.

Mitre10/Home Hardware
Any other bits and pieces you need (chain, glue, plastic, fibreglass, etc)

About Me

I had to put it somewhere.

I live in Australia.  Married with NO kids.   Have a cat and a dog.  We have a....................bored already huh?   Yeah.  That's enough about me........back to Vader stuff.
