Let's Get Started

1. File, New and create a transparent image 400 px width x 500 px height, 16.7 million colours.

2. Floodfill with black. Rename it background in the layer pallet. Note you can change the color at a later stage if you wish but the dark background makes it easier to do the painting later on.

3. Open the Rose Mask (ddd) in PSP.

4. Add a new raster layer and name it gold.

5. In the color pallet, with the foreground set to pattern floodfill with the gold fill. Scale 100 Angle 0.

8. Click on background in the layer pallet. Add a new layer and name it gradient.

9. Selections, Load from Disk, and load the GER.sel file.

14. Change foreground colour to #D86A44 (orange or a color of your choice)

15. Using paint brush, shape round, size 8, Hardness 100, Opacity 100, Step 25, Density 100, zoom in and paint inside the rose. It doesn't matter if you paint over the gold lines as they are on a layer above. Note it may be necessary to reduce the brush size to do some of the fine work.
