Ka'eethi

She
is the last of the Maji, an ancient race that lived in the Flaw of
Time. Not that she remembers any of that. The morning after the destructon of her race, she was thrust through a portal to another time. She wakes up, having no memory of who she was and where she came from, with no one who speaks the same language as her to tell her. It's not long before she discovers that she can hear demons in her head, and has dark powers at her disposal. She finds herself the centre of a struggle between two beings; a creature made of darkness known as Darcke, and a young man named Jack, a struggle that would determine the fate of existance. But she has her own demons to deal with, literally, and all she wants to do is remember who she is while retaining her sanity, and survive the wrath of the townsfolk who are offended by her demonic powers. |

Jack
was a boy with a lust for
adventure when he first met Darcke: the creature gave him and his
family a visit. He came, he left, and Jack, sensing an adventure,
followed him. When he transformed into a being or darkness, created a
portal and stepped through it, Jack followed him through. It didn't
take him long before he realised that the place on the other side of
the portal was from his history books. He soon discovered he was able
to sense Darcke's portals, and so was able to follow him at his own
pace, exploring different times and different cultures. Every now and
then, though, he experiences visions of another world, a world wrought
with death and destruction, no human life, a world inhabited by dark,
demonic creatures. Then, he started to get homesick and decided to catch up with Darcke, to ask him to create a portal that would take him back home, and witnessed Darcke murder someone. With the help of a prophet named Wyra, Jack learns that Darcke is attempting to change history, and Jack's visions are what the world would be if he succeeded. Haunted by these visions, Jack begins to believe it is his fate to stop Darcke at all costs. |

Darcke is our main villain guy.
He's a minion of the Under Demons, their presence in the Overworld. In
his natural form, he is completely black. He has many powers at his disposal; the most noted one is the ability to rip through time and space. He also has the ability to shape-shift into any humanoid-based shape. (in other words, many variations of the same shape,) and so is the master of disguises. He works purely for the will of the Under Demons, so his struggle with Jack is the Demon's struggle with Jack, and his interest in Ka'eethi is purely motivated by the Demon's interest in Ka'eethi. That's not to say he doesn't have his own personality and his own set of interests and his own likes and dislikes, it just means he isn't allowed to pursue them if they don't coincide with the will of the Demons. |

He was a solier who, despite his
fighting ability, decided he didn't fit into the soldiering lifestyle,
and began an early retirement in a nice little cottage in the middle of
nowhere, and enjoyed the quiet life, and grew black krim tomatoes,
until the day a girl fell from the sky into his barrel of tomatoes, and
changed his life forever. Louie was the first person Ka'eethi met since she lost her memory, and despite their inability to understand each other's languages, they get along quite well, and he eventually becomes her guardian and her only friend. He alone protects her from those who want to hurt her and those who want to use her, with no other agenda in mind. |
