EVENTS
600 metres Junior (12 and over) / Novice event Start time: 10:30am
Entrants in this category are permitted to swim in this event ONLY. Each competitor will
receive a certificate of participation and swim cap. T-shirts may be purchased for additional cost.
1200 metres 
12 - 17 and 30+ Waves starting from 11:00am
Open Start time: 12:00pm 
Each competitor will receive a certificate of participation, swim cap and a t-shirt

Entries will be limited to 500 entries.

AGE GROUPS:

12 - 17 yrs, Open, 30 - 39 yrs, 40 - 49 yrs, 50 - 59 yrs, 60 - 69 yrs and 70+ yrs.

MARSHALLING 
Competitors need to report to the marshalling area between 9:00 - 10:30 am to receive their race 
number and cap. 

PRIZES 
Open Swim 1st male and female 
Random pre-entry prize 
All Age Group winners will receive a trophy

SPOT PRIZES 

Will be drawn at the conclusion of the Open swim. Swimmers must be in attendance to be eligible for these prizes.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. No fins, paddles, snorkels or floatation devices permitted.
2. No individual escort or support teams.
3. Wet suits are permissible.
4. Course marshals shall have authority to disqualify any competitors.
5. Medical staff shall have the final ultimate authority to remove a competitor 
from the race if the competitor is judged to be incapable of continuing the
race without the risk of serious injury.
6. All swimmers must be fit and have trained for the event.
7. Good sports person like conduct will be demanded of all competitors
8. Swimmers will be required to have an official race number, race cap and transponder.

SWIM SAFETY:

During the swim qualified life savers will monitor swimmers safety from the water. Please do not hesitate to call for assistance, if required, by raising your arm in the air. If you do not finish the swim please report to our Safety Officer on the beach so that your race number can be recorded.

The race organisers reserve the right to alter the swim course if necessary due the weather conditions.
