Clinical Criminology Home Page
According to the author of this page, clinical criminology is a para-medical profession, similar to forensic psychology as practised in Australia, the US and elsewhere. In Israel, where the author practises, clinical criminologists are licensed by the ministry of health. You must have an M.A. in clinical criminology from an Israeli University, and several years of field experience in order to obtain a licence to practise clinical criminology.
Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice
"The Centre for International Crime Prevention (CICP) is the UN office responsible for crime prevention, criminal justice and criminal law reform. It is based in Vienna, Austria. The CICP includes the Global Programme Against Corruption, the Global Programme against Trafficking in Human Beings and a Global Programme on Organized Crime. It promotes research and studies new and emerging forms of crime in cooperation with the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI). CICP works with Member States to strengthen the rule of law, promote stable and viable criminal justice systems and combat the growing threat of transnational organized crime."
