SEX OFFENDING
The Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers is a non-profit, interdisciplinary, international organization focused specifically on the prevention of sexual abuse through effective management of sex offenders.
Center for Sex Offender Management
Established in June 1997, the Center for Sex Offender Management's (CSOM) goal is to enhance public safety by preventing further victimization through improving the management of adult and juvenile sex offenders who are in the community. The Center for Sex Offender Management is sponsored by the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, in collaboration with the the National Institute of Corrections, State Justice Institute, and the American Probation and Parole Association.

CSOT is the Texas state agency addressing the issue of sexual assault prevention by focusing on the offender's behaviour. This is accomplished by the registration of sex offender treatment providers, education of the public concerning these issues, and providing resource information to victims/survivors, clinicians, policymakers, offenders and the public.
