This is my early 1980s 'Triangle Jazz Band', which played in the style of Lu Watters,Turk Murphy & Tom Baker's San Francisco Jazz Band.

The arrangements were all fully written out for Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Banjo, Tuba & Drums - with lots of room for soloing all round.
Many top jazz bands use written charts to get a great 'pro band' sound, playing from a chart long enough to learn it, then playing it from memory - thus 'loosening up' and sounding very polished.
To help keep the music alive I've converted the old charts to Acrobat PDF format, and they're now available on a single CD all ready to be printed out and played.
