This is my early 1980s 'Triangle Jazz Band', which played in the style of Lu Watters,Turk Murphy & Tom Baker's San Francisco Jazz Band.

My arrangements for this band were all fully written out for Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Banjo, Tuba & Drums ensembles - with lots of room for soloing all round.

There are NO 'ad lib' solos written out.

These are my own arrangements, and are NOT transcriptions from recordings.

Many top jazz bands use written charts to get a great 'pro band' sound, playing from a chart long enough to learn it, then playing it from memory - thus 'loosening up' and sounding very polished.

To help keep the music alive I've converted the old charts to Acrobat PDF format, and they're now available on a single CD all ready to be printed out and played.
