Dendrobium speciosum

VIRUS

In the early nineties there was a rush of information on virus in orchids. Some people were urging caution and some were content to bury their head in the sand and say that our native orchids don't get virus.

We practice and urge the use of good plant hygiene and care in handling our plants. All our cutting instruments are sterilised in a saturated solution of TRICLEANIUM (a concentrated cleaning product in crystal form 100% alkaline salts). It is not diluted by fillers or water, does not include caustic and is non-corrosive. As well as this we try to keep down any infestations of chewing or sucking insects.

We also try to educate others in the safe handling of their plants.

Below is a series of articles that appeared in The Australian Orchid Review and Orchids Australia over a period of 8 years. I advise you to read all of them and you can draw your own conclusions.
