Elevated Photography Services

What is elevated photography?

Put simply, it is any photography above normal "street-level" view; that is above 2 metres height. Theoretically, even climbing up a ladder, vehicle or another roof to get a better perspective falls within this broad definition.

Elevated Photography, itself can be categorised into low-level or high-level. Low-level is considered anything up to about 50 or 100 metres height, and limited practically by equipment, surrounding structures (trees, buildings etc) or geographic features (such as mountains or cliffs). Ever since manned flight at the start of the 20th century we have been able to utilise aeroplanes and satellites for higher levels and this type of photography is primarily used for town planning, mapping, military surveilance and meteorology.

We specialise in the more familiar low-level photography and utilise a 12 metre pneumatic elevating mast with a remote-control Pan & Tilt head and Pentax Digital SLR Camera. Greater heights of 40 metres or more are possible with Elevating Work Platforms. Using the latest Software we can provide a high resolution image of your property that can be enlarged, printed and or framed as a Gift or Personal Memorabilia.

Full 360 degree Panoramas are also possible for website presentation.

Why use elevated photography?

Elevated Photography has a number of important applications including media, law-enforcement and events but the most common use is for Real Estate. Irrespective if the property is commercial, industrial or residential, an elevated view provides a unique perspective with remarkable impact not possible at ground level.

A Street-level view does nothing to enhance your property's best features and quite often these are literally hidden behind fences or vegetation. Agents in particular will understand that good presentation can enhance market value by 10% or more, meaning a quicker sale and many thousands of Dollars extra from the sale price.

Public liability insurance means you are assured of a professional image without the costs and risks associated with a DIY attempt.

Please remember though, not every property will be suitable for elevated photography and safe access is important. Firstly, the location must be accessible by vehicle; either a trailer-mounted Mast or Elevating Work Platform.
