I am collecting informqtion on HMQS Paluma (meaning "Thunder" in an Aboriginal dialect) as an adjunct to this site, and because she is "sister ship" to the Gayundah. Detailed information on the Paluma is not the primary aim of this site, however I will post any information which I come across and that anyone cares to contribuite. Paluma arrived in Brisbane 6 weeks after her stable mate and was almost immediately modified to serve as a coastal survey vessel Paluma was paid off in 1895.
