Statistics in Medicine Book Reviews 2003; 22: 2087-2088

In this breakthrough revision of a classic, Armitage, Berry and Matthews have successfully improved an already 99th percentile offering. They have considerably reorganized and thoroughly modernized the topics and presentation without losing the marvellous blend of insights and formalism that has permeated previous editions.

I have identified only minor flaws; high praise is both easy and appropriate. The book is reasonably priced for its content. Buy, read and loan this book.

MJA Bookroom Must-have statistics

This book is about methods and their application and is aimed at the practitioner, but it is also suitable for anyone with an interest in statistics.

This book belongs on the shelf of anyone who uses or needs to understand anything about medical statistics, and will be constantly on loan from library shelves.
