My Bashford Family

Historically the Bashford name traces its roots back to the Beresfords. Bashfords are numerous in the south eastern areas of England, particularly Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Current research identifies our line of the Bashford family first appearing in records in Sussex abt 1740. The earliest confirmed member of our Bashford line is Josiah Bashford, however limited information is available about the family until his great grandson - George William Bashford - emigrated to Australia
