Robert
Hardie (abt 1638 - ?)
Robert is the
earliest known ancestor of our Hardie Family. Robert was born in
about 1638. He married Marione Campbell on 7 July 1663 in
Alloa, Clackmannan.
They had five children:

No parents have
been identified for Robert, however there is a Robert Hardie christened
on 29 May 1643 Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland. His parents are Robert
Hardie and Marion Robertson(e) and there is two identified
siblings - Janet christened on 14 Sep 1645 in St. Andrews And St.
Leonards, Fife and James baptised 1 Dec 1650 in Pittenweem, Fife.
These dates
are consistent with our Robert, and Fife is close to Clackmannan,
so there is a possibility that this is a continuation of the ancestoral
line.
