England

England - often referred to in Australia as the Mother Country - is a country whose history is defined as much by invasion as it is by its people. It is not unreasonable to say that the seed of Western Civilisation grew out of this tiny island in the Northern Atlantic.

Of my 16 GG grandparents five have English Roots. Given the emigration model at the time, they and their ancestors come from all over England, but primarily from the south eastern corner of the country.
