  1. How old were you when you first picked up a cue?   4
  2. and when did you start playing seriously? Played my first comp at ten
  3. Who’s your favourite player and why?  Ronnie O’Sullivan because he is so quick
  4. Most memorable snooker moment? Winning the lance pannell  in 2003.
  5. Best match ever involved in? 2002 World under 21 Quarter final, I lost 6-5 to Pankaj advani.
  6. Main practice partner/s?   steve mifsud and Andrew hicks
  7. How much do you practice (hrs per week)? 15 hrs
  8. Do you have a coach? Who? And how big a part has he played in your success?  My brother (Steve) and dad (Bill) they have taught me everything I know.
  9. Has anyone else contributed to your success? All my practice partners over the last ten years
  10. Do you work FT/PT? What do you do? Part time. Labour work
  11. What are your goals for 2006?   To start enjoying snooker again
  12. Any tips you’d like to give young players and beginners?  Practice hard. And enjoy.

I had a chat with James after we played each other in pennant. He said it was hard to name his best match but his match mentioned above was of the highest quality. Against Pankaj, James was down 3-1 and Pankaj made a 50+ break at the start of the 5th and looked like he was going to go 4-1 up. But James showed his class and made a 78 clearance. From then on, the match was of the highest standard and Pankaj scrapped over the line 6-5.
