Congratulations on winning the Oceania last year. At the start of it, were you confident that you could win? Not at all, I just tried to get a better result than the year before which was I lost to Glen Wilkinson 3 – 2 in the last 32.

Which was your toughest match in that tournament? I had two toughest matches. First, in the second round against Charlie Lowe (I was feeling pressure because I expected to win) and second, in the last 16 against Frank Karaberas (I was feeling pressure because if I won I got into Quarter Final. My best was last 16 in that tournament.

Against Charlie Lowe, Rudy won 3-2 on the black! Who would have guessed Rudy would go on and win the tournament to become the 2005 Oceania/Fred Osbourne Champion! Superb effort!

Thanks for your time Rudy and we wish you the best for 2006.
