Word-wrapping
If you ever need to word-wrap a plain text file, the program fmt
does
the job quite nicely, and I hear par
should do more or less the same
thing. If you use vim (or know how to use it) then go to the top of the file
and press gqG
; apparently that ought to do the trick, too. I didn't make
any of these bits, and my thanks go to the denizens of #debian on freenode for telling me about them.
Translation bookmarklet
If you often want to translate bits of a page, I've written a bookmarklet that you might like. Drag the following link to your web browser's links toolbar and see what happens if you select some text in the main window, then click on it. The link: Translate selected text. Tested in mozilla 1.3. Shortly after I posted this I discovered that it did not, in fact, work. This is something of a problem. I've left it here anyway because someone, somewhere, might find it interesting.
