The seams were treated similarly on the outside - although they were easier to work on with no frames in the way. By filleting and rounding the corners a pleasing chine was achieved. A short keel was glued to the aft keel line as shown in the plans
After sanding the fillets smooth woven fibreglass tape was placed along all interior seams and thoroughly wetted with epoxy resin. The frame were also filleted and taped on one side. Any resin left over while taping the seams was used to paint the inside surfaces.. Once all seams were taped and the resin set the hull was flipped upside down again, the duct tape removed and the cable ties snipped of with a pair of side snippers.
Duct tape was used to cover the seams on the outside of the hull and then all seams on the inside given a coat of epoxy resin . Using a mixture of epoxy resin and glue /fillet filler powder fillets were formed along all the interior seams.
