Welcome to the FISH web site The FISH group began on 12th January 1992 when Geoff Place and Brad Bowler organized some members of the Banyule Cricket Club and Football Club to go fishing in Bass Strait from Port Albert. Prior to this there were a few founding members namely Geoff Place, Geoff Prowd and Bryce Phillips, who had undertaken smaller fishing expeditions to Tarwin Lower, Swan Reach and Eildon starting way back in 1979. Never before had we assembled such a large group to try their luck in piscatorial pursuits. After our initial trip, we never thought that FISH would continue. Seventeen years later, we're still going strong.
