| On 29 March 2003, my daughter Linda married Damon Taylor at Carcoar, an historic gold mining town in central New South Wales. They later honeymooned in Phuket and Chiang Mai, Thailand, and visited Dad in Bangkok.
The wedding went well which is a credit to the organisers Linda and Damon themselves.
Photos this column from top The bridal party Linda and Damon enjoyed a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River during their honeymoon. The backdrop to this photo is the Rama VIII Bridge, Bangkok's newest bridge. Right hand column from top The beautiful bride You may now kiss the bride. Flower girl was Damons cousin, Imogen. Page boy was my grandson, Ben. These two got caught up in the romance of the occasion and somehow got the idea that they too were married! My grandson, Izmaillah, looks uncharacteristically grumpy but still very smart. Now doesn't that look like... Carcoar is an historic gold mining town with most buildings in original condition. It is therefore used as a set for historic movies. And on this afternoon, Sam Neil just happened to be making a movie. The beautiful old church where the wedding took place. |
