My proofreading rates are based on a number of factors, with a higher hourly rate for complex or highly technical documents.
As every body of work has its own unique requirements, there is no such thing as a "standard" proofreading job.
My general turnaround time on a 20 page, A4 document (e.g. a small annual report, including photos and graphics) is around 24-48 hours.
Urgent jobs can be accommodated at a slightly higher, pre-negotiated rate.
In order to be able to quote fairly and efficiently, I would need to see a sample of the job. Quoting "sight unseen" invariably leads to difficulties for both parties.
