Hi All,
Gee's it's been a huge 2008 so far with the duo, trio & band. Burnsie & Glenn have been playing hard with me since the start of the year. Memorable gigs to date would have to be The Hotel Avoca, Raceday It was HUGE!!! Thank you to all parties concerned.
Tigers Clubhouse this year so far has been absolutely fantastic. Julie has simply done a magnificent job at the club. It's been full every Friday & Saturday night.
To my surprise and jubilation I got to meet Suzanne Vega on her recent Australian tour, as she has been my favourite recording artist since her first album in 1984. She is as gracious as she sounds. What a memerable moment it will remain. Also I was fortunate enough to manage to get a ticket to see another of my favourite bands this year, The Police played at the MCG. I had shitty tickets in the grandstand which came with a delay but all in all a great concert which brought back many good memories of when I was a young fella.
More recently, I had vocal surgery in October. I have been out of action since 16th August and looking forward to hitting the stage again in December. Many thanks to the incredible staff at the MELBOURNE VOICE ANALYSIS CENTRE, Dr. Neil Vallance & Speech Therapist; Debbie Phyland. If anyone out there in singing land needs to get someone to check out their vocal chords, look no further! I promise you, they are BRILLIANT!!!!
Kartoon will add a new inclusion to the line up in December, stay tuned and i will announce who she is shortly.
Our newest adventure in coverband land is our "One Hit Wondez Show" (see above). Coming to a venue near you soon!!!
