Uniforms donated by Grace Lutheran College in Rothwell, Australia

Grace Lutheran College in Rothwell donated a lot of yellow and blue school Tshirts. These were welcomed by the children in Africa very much. Thanks so much Grace College.

Southern Cross Catholic College donated some very smart school shirts and ties as shown in the picture.

Nudgee College were much appreciated for the lovely crocheted blankets that the African community received.


Beautiful croched and knitted baby sets lovingly donated by the Redcliffe community in Australia

Some very beautiful croched and knitted baby sets were lovingly created by the Redcliffe Community and given to many babies on our recent trip to Africa. Here a young mum and baby receive a set. Thanks so much to the Redcliffe community for their help.

The African families, schools, hospitals and community were overwhelmed with the generosity of Australian people to give so generously.


We also wish to acknowledge the following wonderful people and organisations below:

  • Gold Coast and Nambour Hospitals donated 340 hospital beds to Uganda
  • Blankets and teddybears made by Nudgee College Staff and Lexie Webber
  • Hospital beds and medical equipment donated by Nambour and Private hospitals throughout Queensland and Victoria
  • 2 Incubators donated to Nyakibale Hospital, Uganda, from Nambour Hospital.

  • Australian Chinese Medical Associaition of Victoria for their generous donations of clothes, computers, and medical equipment.
  • Queensland Health for the many hospitals (some are pictured above) who donated hospital beds, birthing beds, and general hospital equipment.
  • Emirates, especially Mr Michael Bennetts who has assisted with the donation of air freight using his own personal allowance.
  • Greg McGilvery from his pharmacy who donates regularly gift baskets for our fundraising efforts at the many social dinners that we have.
  • So many others that it is very hard to name them all, but we do thank everyone for their help and support.
  • Special thanks to the great Project Africa team who donate their time, money, garage and love to further this worthy cause.

educating our young people is a priority with Project Africa

Schools - working computers, photocopiers, all I.T. equipment, disused desks, chairs, text books, library books, manual arts tools, sport equipment, pencils, pens, exercise books, paper, uniforms etc.
Community - bedding, linen, clean clothes for all ages, mobile phones less SIM cards, soft toys, new composting toilets, batteries, torches, solar panels, building equipment (contact Ken re this)
Medical - new and used (in working condition) diagnostic medical equipment, medical text books, used single graded lens spectacles, microscopes etc.
Other - Sewing machines, tools (for example electrical and hand tools), Pre-Vocational Equipment is also essential for young people to learn trades and find gainful employment.

Please Note: Because of World Health Organisation (WHO) regulations we cannot accept used underclothes, shoes, socks and old domestic mattresses.
