LOVELAND for WILDLIFE  Inc

Loveland For Wildlife Inc was formed out of a need to care for and rehabilitate Wildlife from the MidWest region of Western Australia.A property known as Kenandra, covering 761 acres and abutting the Hill River Reserve was chosen as the ideal site for this job. In this area of the Midwest are the Shires of Dandaragan and Coorow which have large tracts of Bush in the form of Nature Reserves. Having so much bush around meant that it was always going to be an area with a large number of casualties from road trauma and bushfires. Once the committment was made by a small group of dedicated carers to look after the orphaned Kangaroos and birds a few years ago, it wasn't long before we realised that the problem was bigger than first thought, as we were inundated with sick, orphaned and injured wildlife. This put great stress on those carers physically, mentally and financially. So it was decided that to assist with much needed funding for ongoing wildlife rehabilitation, the carers needed to form an Association. Thus Loveland For Wildlife was incorporated on the 30th November 2007 to seek out this much needed funding and to make more people aware of this valuable work within our region,by giving our beautifull wildlife a second chance at life.
