Back Home Anne Returns to
Prince Edward Island for the first time since Marilla’s death, only to find
Green Gables in ruins. |

Anne Meets Diana

how I’ve longed for this moment. I have missed you so much.” |

|
|

“It’s lovely to
see you too Henry.” |
|
|

Anne and Gilbert
drive through Avonlea to see Green Gables, which is a mess, much to Anne’s
disappointment. |

|
“There will
never be anyone for me but you Gil.” |

Anne and Gilbert
move to New York so that Gilbert can work at the hospital there. |
|
|

Anne Meet
Writer Jack Garrison Jnr Jack appears to
be a nice friendly person but while helping Anne write her book he steals the
manuscript and claims it as his own! |

Anne and
Gilbert are Finally Married “I now pronounce
you husband and wife.” |
|
|

|
World War
One Gilbert has
enlisted as a doctor but Anne receives all her letters to him back and then
the dreadful news comes. Gilbert has been filed as ‘missing in action’. Anne
enlists as a nurse and goes looking for Gil. |

|
|
On the way, Jack
Garrison Jnr gives his baby (Dominic) to Anne for safekeeping. In return Jack
Garrison will help Anne look for Gilbert. |
|
|
Because of going
into dangerous territory Anne is forced to disguise herself. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Jack waiting to
pick up Anne and take her and Dominic to safety. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Because of her
appalling accent and no identification papers Anne is thought to be a spy and
is captured but escapes with her friends. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Anne meets up
with her friends, who made it to safety. While singing to the crowd she spots
the person she came looking for in the first place… |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Gilbert!
“Oh Gil, I
thought you were dead!” |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The reunited
couples are warned that fighting is about to break out and they are advised
to leave the city. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
So they leave
and go back to Prince Edward Island. Unfortunately Jack Garrison Jnr is
murdered on the way leaving Dominic with a relative who also later dies. Anne
swears she will find Dominic and adopt him. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Anne picks up
Dominic from Bright River Station, the same place where Matthew Cuthbert
picked her up all those years ago. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The now a happy
family. “Promise me
Gil that one day we will return to the Island and raise our family.” Gilbert keeps
his promise and they return. |
