The "Show Folk" in our Club have from time to time have won or have seen the lovely Perpetual Trophies that have been thoughtfully donated to the Club for the Open and Championship Shows, but there are members of the Club that may never see them or know who doted the Trophies or why!

The Ebonite Queen Memorial Trophy
In 1987 Trish & Terry Lamb donated for Best Exhibit in Open Show. This Walnut wooden trophy with a bronze sleeping King Charles Spaniel on top, is a memorial to their first Charlie a black and tan bitch Yetella Ebonite Queen (Ebony).
Ebony never became a Champion (only in the hearts of her owners) she died after whelping six puppies, one of which was Aus. & NZ Ch Velbeauf Dashing Duke. Ebony was bred by C & J Bannister (Queensland).

Pearly Princess Memorial Trophy
Is in memory of 'Shirl Girl' a very sweet little Blenheim Bitch who became ill late in her pregnancy, her illness still remains a mystery. Shirl had spent some time with Alf & Bev Broadbent & was the apple of Alf's eye. Ch Velbeauf Pearly Princess was owned by Trish & Terry Lamb. The Zepherine Memorial Trophy
In the same year 1987 a beautiful silver Rose Bowl came from England, donated by Mr. John Fothergill (life member of the Club & Patron). This beautiful trophy, The Zepherine Memorial Trophy is awarded to Best Puppy in Championship Show. Zepherine was the prefix of the late Mrs. Joyce Birchall (UK) renown for her beautiful King Charles Spaniels, and the hand book "THE KING CHARLES SPANIEL" first printed in 1960.
