  • The New Vortex 1 5.12.01.1561 drivers, Vortex 2 5.12.01.1561 drivers and Vortex Advantage 5.12.01.3561 drivers for Windows XP remove Aureal A3D support, hardware acceleration, Aureal wavetable and S/PDIF support so it would be best to avoid them.

  • New Vortex 1 5.12.01.1561 drivers, Vortex 2 5.12.01.1561 drivers and Vortex Advantage 5.12.01.3561 drivers for Windows XP are available at Windows Update. Just install the Microsoft Media Driver Version 5.1.2601.0 driver update on the Windows Update web site. News from message board

  • Future Beat 3D Pro by Techland Software will only support Aureal A3D 2.0 if there is a retail release.

  • FireZone by Techland Software is now been combined with Virtual Commando and the game is currently been called Chrome

  • Crime Cities and Speedway 2000 by Techland Software include Aureal A3D 2.0 support.

  • Max Payne by 3D Realms will no longer support Aureal A3D 2.0, the game will only support DirectSound3D.

  • Aureal A3D Central is now reopened with one aim, I am currently contacting the developers of all future games that were going to support Aureal A3D to check if their plans have change now Aureal Inc no longer exists and will post the results
